The night the Israelites spent in Egypt; the meal that Jesus and His disciples shared, both took place in the midst of great drama and tension. Today the Passover is surround by various readings, music, wine and food. But the central theme remains - remembering and the coming of the kingdom of God.

The first day of Unleavened Bread arrived, the day the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. And Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, "Go and prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it."

Jesus:  “It has been My deep desire to eat this Passover meal with you before My suffering begins…He [Jesus] took a cup of wine and gave thanks for it…He took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and shared it..” Luke 22
