Seeking God in Liturgy
St. Augustine put it brilliantly: “It delights us to praise you, for you have you have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.”
The ancients, those ppl of faith who have gone before us, the Christian calendar, the triumphs and short-comings of the church, all are beautiful tools that serve and guide us well, if we give them an opportunity. While Christ and the Holy Spirit are the ultimate companion on my Christian faith journey, I find comfort in liturgy too - that which has been handed down through the generations.
