Seeking God in Liturgy

Image
St. Augustine put it brilliantly :  “It delights us to praise you, for you have you have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in you.” The ancients, those ppl of faith who have gone before us, the Christian calendar, the triumphs and short-comings of the church, all are beautiful tools that serve and  guide us well, if we give them an opportunity.  While Christ and the Holy Spirit are the ultimate companion on my Christian faith journey, I find comfort in liturgy too - that which has been handed down through the generations.  Really all I want from my faith walk is to be formed into the likeness of Christ. So I'll happily use ... For the next few weeks, walk with me on  a liturgical journey.  Lean in  Wednesday, May 19th @ 7pm. Ask questions. Share. Owning Our Story

Image
What does it look like to own our story? American researcher, story-teller, professor, lecturer and noted author wrote: When we deny the story it defines us,  when we own the story,  we can write a brave new ending .  ~ Brene Brown.  My current season and story is one of lamentations.
