Star of Hope

Image
#ministryinmotionchurch Chapel Service, Wednesday April 1 st 7pm at the Star of Hope , Men's Development Center 1811 Ruiz, Houston. There, we will minister to residents of a six-month recovery program and a 12 month transitional housing program. As a footnote, following commencement from the Spiritual Recovery Program, each man is given the opportunity to enter the Transitional Living Center (TLC) and to continue developing in a Christ-centered atmosphere. Once admitted to the TLC, men are expected to remain gainfully employed and to practice thrift and saving. MinistryinMotion.Church “being the church outside the church”

Hero to Zero

Image
Palm Sunday. A beast of burden. A lone rider. Clothes littering the street. Jubilant crowds. Praises proclaimed. Victory given. Branches of palms strewn across His path. Triumphal entry. A hero’s welcome. This was the first Palm Sunday.  The prophet Zechariah, wrote: “… Cry out with joy, O daughter of Zion! Shout jubilantly, O daughter of Jerusalem! Look—your King is coming; He is righteous and able to save. He comes seated humbly on a donkey, on a colt…” Allegiance forgotten. Selfish admirers. Hypocritical hailers. From hero to apparent zero within a week. Do you worship the King, the Savior, one week and all but deny Him the next? Palm Sunday has a lesson for each of us...Pastor Keith  Twitter: @ minm_church      FB: MinistryinMotionChurch   Web: http://minm.church

Capt. Kirk

#GodsPurpose Do you remember Capt. Kirk's phrase: "space the final frontier"? I'm wondering if there is another frontier worth exploring, God's intention, His why, for my life. Surely, there must have been times when you have wondered about your destiny and the reason for your presence in this crazy mixed-up world. But, discovering God’s intent and implementing it can often take effort and time, sometimes a lifetime. And in a society where immediacy often has more value than patience, and where personal discovery is a frontier seldom explored, our heavenly purpose, our why, may go undiscovered and underutilized. Think about going boldly to the throne of grace. Get clarification asking: "what’s your plan for me, Father?" Explore God’s purpose, remembering that you’ll never loose your way when you remember your why...Pastor Keith  #minmchurch    #MinistryinMotionChurch
