Are you being formed by the cross?
We were created to be cruciform (cruci = cross, form = shaped). Paul wrote to the church at Ephesus Ephesians 2:4-5 saying:"...But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ..."
I remember that:
Love that goes upward is worship;
Love that goes outward is affection;
Love that goes sideways is prayer;
Love that stoops is grace.
Jesus, may all that is you flow into me. May your body and blood be my food and my drink. May your passion and death be my strength and my life ~ Amen
