Make Space For The Resurrection

Image
With the resurrection of Jesus a new day has dawned.   Here we find a promise for us.   What God did for Jesus on that first Easter Sunday,   God plans to do for the whole world! #MininstryinMotion #pkes   Facebook   Twitter   Instagram   Home   Email

Silent Saturday

Image
Holy Saturday reminds us that the space between death and resurrection is often dark, lonely, and disorienting.  Life can feel like one long Holy Saturday. But we are invited to cling to God nonetheless because something new is about to burst forth. @richvillodas Peter followed Jesus (though at some distance  so as not to be seen ). He slipped into Caiaphas’s house and attached himself to a group of servants. And he sat watching, waiting to see how things would unfold . Matthew 26:58 Christ’s friends were lost, their futures seemingly erased. Many of us may feel this today, disorientation. We feel lost, isolated and uncertain of our future. This stay-at-home season is like one long Holy Saturday...Know the history, the story, the beauty of the resurrection. Be silent. Pause and breath deep — Sunday is coming. May the Lord use it to birth something fresh in all of us. #MininstryinMotion #pkes   Facebook   Twitter   Instagram   Home   Email

Sitting in Grief

Image
“The invitation of Good Friday is to sit in the grief, just as life often forces us to. For all of us, at some time or another, we experience an affliction that does not neatly pivot into hope. Sorrow is long, and suffering suffocating. And we need a category for that. We need to know that this type of sustained darkness is not outside the story of God, but actually belongs right in the center of it.” ~sharonmiller "For the true sufferer, the theologian of the cross has good news—news, mind you, not solutions.   It is the good news that, in the Crucified One, God has simply willed … the curse to be a blessing…” @Sarcasticluther “Together we will cry and face fear and grief. I will want to take away your pain, but instead I will sit with you and teach you how to feel it.” ~ Brené Brown The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Keeping It Balanced During C19

Image
The heart of man plans his way,   but the Lord establishes his steps.  Proverbs 16:9 Interesting. The Lord controls what he chooses  not  to control. Let that sink in for a minute. Humans, we can and do make our own plans, but the Lord often directs how those plans get worked out.  Consider that you are a parent doing double duty because of Covid 19. You’re keeping up with your job from the house and homeschooling at the same time.  You’re utterly amazing! Your are keeping all together and in balance; Is not easy; You’re doing it; You are adjusting ... with time; You’re creating new routines - stick with it; You’ve discovered new ways to manage that time & you are asking God to construct your strides;   We see you;   Ministry in Motion applauds you;   We believe y’all are heroes of the first-order ... Care well. Be forgiving of yourself and your kid(s). Shalom…#PKES #MininstryinMotion    Facebook   Twitter   Instagram   Ho
