Playing the Fool

The book of Proverbs draws a sharp contrast between foolishness and godly wisdom. 

Proverbs 18:2 puts it plainly: “A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.”

Opinions shaped by a well-informed and prayerful mind can become quiet catalysts for good—stirring ideas that strengthen businesses, deepen relationships, and nourish our walk with God. Yet not every thought that rises within us needs to be spoken.

When a conviction takes root in your heart, how carefully do you steward the voice God has given you?

How thoughtfully do you offer your perspective, seeking not merely to be heard, but to serve, to build up, and to leave room for the Spirit’s gentle work?
